CedarHouseArt is a growing, home-based art studio where all of my artwork is created. I am a self-taught artist that has been painting since a young age. My purpose is to create artwork that I would display in my own home for my own enjoyment and, hopefully, that someone else would like for their own home. I truly enjoy expressing myself through painting, whether or not anyone else enjoys what I create. (I can always give them away as Christmas gifts, right?) Taking a blank canvas and turning it into a focal point brings to me a sense of peace and relaxation that I need with my hectic life.

By hectic I mean that I have a 1 year old son. Enough said. Aaron and my husband, Heath, have shown me colors I didn't know existed and inspired a kind of beauty my imagination cannot put on a canvas. They are my world and I thank God everyday for blessing me with their presence. Considering I pretty much only get to paint when Aaron is napping, it is a wonder I have anything worth selling, but somehow God makes a way. I am a native Mississippian now living in North Alabama where I try to enjoy every day to the fullest because we cannot know what tomorrow holds...but...luckily....we do know who holds tomorrow!
Children’s Charity Proceeds An added benefit to adorning your home or business with a beautiful piece of artwork is that 10% of proceeds of each painting will go towards supporting children’s charities. October- St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital November-December – Operation Christmas Child (sends Christmas presents to kids around the world that have never had a Christmas…ever) January-May- Camp of the Rising Son Scholarship (sends children who can’t afford it to an awesome Christian children’s camp for a week of fun and the Son!)
